Read, travel, create memories. Put a little of yourself out there. Fall down, get up, continue with a smile. Live and breath, survive. It's your own time!

Τhere is nothing more beautiful than a road trip.
Come, let me show you my country.

Hello everyone.

You cannot achieve many things in one day but i am not complaining.
It's one beautiful bliss the fact i can travel around my country.
Current destination Kozani.

Kozani (Greek: Κοζάνη) is a town in northern Greece, capital of
Kozani regional unit and of West Macedonia region.
It is located in the western part of Macedonia, in the northern part
of the Aliakmonas river valley.

The city lies 710 metres (2,329 feet) above sea level, 15 kilometres (9 miles) northwest of the artificial lake Polyfytos, 120 km (75 miles) south-west of Thessaloniki, between the mountains Pieria, Vermio, Vourinos and Askio. The population of the Kozani municipality is over 70,000 people.

The climate of the area is continental with cold and dry winters, and hot summers.
We got tortured by the sun for some hours
but after a while, beautiful grey clouds made their appearance and the weather got cooler.

City Hall

As many cities in my country, Kozani combines the old with the new surprising well.
I tried to snap as many photos of old buildings as possible to share with you their beauty.

The only very aesthetically wrong are those awful graffiti.
Come on, if you want to paint, at least paint something beautiful!

Valtadoreion Gymnasium.

One of the most important aspects of local folklore is Kozani's carnival at the end of the winter, which retains much of the profanity of the ancient Dionysiac cult. Kozani is renowned in Greece and abroad for the production of Saffron (Krokos Kozanis), in the nearby town of Krokos.

Inside City Hall.

The clock tower today, Nikis (Victory) Square

visited some bookstores and found this book
The Trial of Socrates by I. F. Stone in a local boostore for only 2€.

Bye guys <3

  1. Girl, what a beautiful blue sky and vivid green grass! The city looks gorgeous, with its old decaying buildings it looks like my type of place. I especially like this blue-white house and the photo with two balconys. Of course you too, as usual, add even more beauty to the rest of the photos :D

  5. Oh my! The blue building/house is just too beautiful. I adore it when old constructions are well integrated on the urban landscape, it gives a lot of personality to the place.
